Pianos regularly make movers yearly list of products that are most frequently damaged. Grand pianos are specifically problematic. Practicing the following procedures for dismantling, cushioning and loading grand pianos will prevent damage, lower claims cost, and enhance consumer satisfaction.
1) At least 3 individuals are required to handle a baby grand piano. If the baby grand piano needs to increase or down stairs or if a complete or performance grand piano requires to be carried, a minimum of 4 individuals are required.
